Craft & Micro Brews
Anchor Steam– San Francisco
amber ale w/ a creamy head, has a fresh, hoppy aroma w/ a hint of caramel. Light & refreshing w/ a fruity mid-palate w/ a clean, dry finish w/ a bit of bite
Anchor Steam Porter—San Francisco
Smell is, surprisingly, of ripe fruits up front (strawberries, raspberries) w/ some coffee & subtle chocolaty notes in the background. Caramelly-sweet fruits hit your palate & fade into a nice chocolaty, espresso finish w/ a touch of bitterness from the hops on the linger.
Carlsberg – Denmark:
Carlsberg Pilsner is a well-proportioned bottom-fermented lager beer w/ a flavour of hops, grains, pine needles, sorrel & Danish summer apples.
Chimay “Red” — Belgium
nose is fruity, w/ notes of dried apricots & fig & a chocolaty background. There is plenty of nutty, dry, but concentrated fruit character & a spicy, malty finish w/ plenty of bit.
Medium bodied w/ a laid back crispness, pale maltiness w/ a big phenolic character. Estery w/ faint fruity undertones. Sweet light honey-like sweetness, alcohol is there to add to it. Some spice from the phenols & alcohol plus a bite from the hops add balance. Finishes w/ a very warming alcohol & mild sweetness.
Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA—Delaware
really hoppy, citrusy, grassy.
Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA—Delaware
"Offers loads of sweet-sour fruity & malty, roasted cereal aromas; later nosing find traces of prune, black raisins, & treacle. Tastes of candied fruit, pineapple, & vanilla wafer. Finishes fruity, smoky, & toasty. Enjoy w/ a hearty meal."
The nose is lovely: a crisp & fruity melange of Asian pear, cloves & wheatbeer-like yeastiness w/ a hint of caramel & some floral aspects. Hoppy bitterness & a full-bodied, chewy complexity. It has sweetness, full, ripe pear fruit & green streak of hops dominates.
Golden Monkey — Pennsylvania
Strong & sensual, this golden, Belgian-style ale glows w/ goodness. The richness of German malts & Belgian yeast are tempered by a sparkling approach & overall light body.
Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald—Cleveland, Ohio
a complex, roasty porter w/ a bittersweet, chocolate-coffee taste & bold hop presence.
Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale
won a silver medal at the 2007 Great American Beer Festival in the Barrel & Wood-Aged Category. Subtle yet familiar flavors of vanilla & oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth & robust, may also be served as an aperitif or after dinner drink.
Left Hand Milk Nitro—Colorado
aroma is of brown sugar and vanilla cream, with hints of roasted coffee. The pillowy head coats your upper lip and its creaminess entices your palate. Initial roasty, mocha flavors rise up, with slight hop & roast bitterness in the finish. The rest is pure bliss of milk chocolate fullness.
Breckenridge Small Batch 471 IPA – Colorado
471 is a small batch, limited edition ale that was created by our Brewmaster to separate the weak from the strong. 471 is a double IPA, that combines Pale, Munich, Caramel-30, Carapils & Torrified Wheat malts, w/ chinook, Centennial, Simcoe and Fuggles hops. It has a big sweet mouthfeel, followed by more hoppiness than you've ever had at one time. Enjoy.
Ommegang “Three Philosophers” — New York
a blend of Belgian dark strong ale & Lindeman's Kriek (a classic cherry lambic directly from Belgium). On the bottleneck, it says “Strength in Union,” signaling the beer's portent & possibilities. It produces a wine-like ruby fill in the goblet & a nose of malt, dark fruits, vanilla & sweet cherries...But there's more - coffee, currants, brandied raisins, chocolate & sour notes - all blending nicely across the palate.
Ommegang “Chocolate Indulgence” - New York
The aroma immediately speaks of dark chocolate & dark malts. The gentle herbal nose of Perle hops compliments the darker notes, making the beer savory to the senses. The taste continues w/ the intense Belgian dark chocolate gliding across the tongue; starting sweet up front but giving way to rich cocoa flavors at the back. Through it all, a subtle fruitiness from our special Belgian yeast gives the beer brightness otherwise foreign to a beer style normally associated w/ gray foggy skies. Lingering chocolate entices the drinker to taste more.
